Is Photoshop Worth It 2100?

"So is Photoshop worth it?" I hear you ask. You just bought Photoshop, figured you would like to create some new images, or enhance an old image to make it look better. You probably figured that you could go to a photo shop and get some new equipment, buy new film, and spend a few hundred dollars for a few hours of photo editing bliss. Or, you might even have looked at some Photoshop tutorials online to learn some new skills.

In my own experience, too many people jump in without really considering all the options. Sure, they may be able to make some tweaks here and there, but what about the huge picture? What does the end result look like?

A while back, I was having a problem with a client's site and needed to redo one of their old images. Of course, I had never worked on these images before, so I just went ahead and loaded up Photoshop. And boy, did I ever learn a lot! There are so many new options when you use Photoshop, you need to take time and really explore them.

The key is to start small and then add layers as you get more comfortable with what you are doing. This can be tough if you have never used Photoshop before, because it has so many new features. So, how do you know if Photoshop is worth it for you? The best way to find out is to download a new copy of Photoshop and see what it can do for you. In fact, I recommend downloading the new Photoshop CS5 program to try it out first. It's free!

There are so many great features in Photoshop CS5 that it's really amazing. But, you may feel like it's so complicated that you can't really use it to its full potential. Don't worry about that at all! I found that after I got over my initial fears and began to explore the new features, Photoshop became much easier to use and I could create some really interesting images. You might not think that it's possible with such old software, but it's true! And I don't just mean that you can create some amazing photos; it's really true that you can use the software to do a variety of different things.

For example, did you know that you can now change the color of your objects by clicking on them? This can be really useful for creating different effects, such as making a red shoe look purple or changing the background of your photo to gray from blue! You can also edit the text on your picture and you can even apply 3D effects! These are only a few of the things that Photoshop can do for you.

But one of the best features that Photoshop has that many people don't realize is that you can actually save your image and then re-size it any time you need! So if for instance you've taken a really large image and you need to shrink it down to fit in a smaller photo, you don't need to send it to Photoshop and wait for it to download and shrink it! You can do it yourself in minutes and with very little effort! That's why I think that is Photoshop worth it!

There are plenty more features that you can take advantage of and I found that once I was used to the way everything worked, that I could save an image very quickly and easily and then alter it with ease. There are lots of tools and filters and even a new feature called "layers". Now like I said before, I am really a big Photoshop user and I love being able to create so many different effects and I love to save my work. The fact that I can save my images and re-size them any time I want without having to send them to Photoshop really appeals to me!
